Enterprise or Country Wide Logging Law
Till the mids of 2007 there is law named 5651 (Arrangement of Publications over Internet and Fight With the Crimes through out the Internet Publications) in Turkey. Which rules the internet access all over the country. It regulates the ISPs, Content Providers, Internet Cafe's and so on about the logging of the internet access by all means both incoming and outgoing traffic.
The basic idea behind is to find the criminals or guilties of the Internet Terrorism by all kinds including Banking, Racism, etc.
Hence this should be done with the help of logging all the meaningful Internet access through out the foundations. But also determining the source and target of the traffic.
The law gives the right to TIB for preparing the regulations according to the sectors. Now TIB expected to put out the latest regulations so that all the sector will mark their position and prepare the infrastructure.
TIB is expected to ask for time stamping the log files and store for a year.
All the IT sector including the networking and software providers are preparing for the new requlations.
